COVID Era, I came to know
Living like Robinson Crusoe
Pandemic ebbs, time to explore
Lessons learned while washed ashore
Castaway wants life as before
Living like Robinson Crusoe
Social distancing didn’t sit well
Marooned at home, a double hell
Talked to God, told him “not swell”
Living like Robinson Crusoe
Retired, bored I stewed, then hatched trial
Learn independence, most worthwhile
Worked old unskilled hands, made God smile
Living like Robinson Crusoe
Fixed TVs, repaired plumbing, too
Restored truck; shocked God what I could do
While shipwrecked I made old things new
Living like Robinson Crusoe
But most valued lesson I recall
Kings of Islands, Boy Fridays, we all
Need each other when fate befall
Living like Robinson Crusoe
